Police Officer
This is responsible police work in the City of Gretnas Police Department to include the protection of life and property through crime prevention, and law and ordinance enforcement.
Work is performed under the direction of an assigned Police Sergeant and/or Police Captain.
Daily work patrolling the city, investigating criminal activity, responding to citizen calls and other various specialized assignments.
Work requires the use and exercise of independent judgment so that the Police Department is operated with efficiency and effectiveness.
Work is demonstrated, supervised and reviewed by superior officers and/or Field Training Officers (FTOs) through conferences, written reports, personal inspections and observation of the results obtained.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
